November saw our club compete at the Brisbane Relay Championships.  We had teams compete in 31 races.  The kids had a wonderful time with some of them having their first taste of Championship competition at the Chandler Aquatic Centre.
December started with two of our members attending the Pacific School Games in Adelaide.  Ben Garozzo finished 5th in 13-19yr 1500m Free and 7th in 13-14yr 200m Free.  Bailey Somerville finished 7th in 12yrs 200m IM.
The 2017 McDonalds QLD Championships were from 9/12/17 to 15/12/17.  The first day of competition was Relay day and our teams competed in 22 races.  The rest of the week saw eighteen of our swimmers compete in 90 individual races between them.  Ten of our swimmers also went on compete in 17 finals.  So many of our swimmers swam personal best times and four swam national qualifying times.  Bailey Somerville (12) won Silver 200m Fly and Bronze 400 IM.
