All in all 2016 has been a good year for the Moreton Bay Game Fish Club with a lot of fishing activities by our Club Members. Our annual tournament held in March was a great success with 31 boats entered and 215 anglers and crew taking part. Our thanks to the Redlands Sporting Club who once again was one of our valuable sponsors. Each year this tournament just keeps on improving and this year was no exception. Next year’s “Back 2 Tanga 9” tournament has been scheduled for 3-5 March 2017, so drop a date claimer in your diary.
Our property at Tangalooma was well used by Club members during the year and thanks must be given to the few members who keep the property well maintained for the benefit of others.
Our AGM was held in October with a new Committee being elected. Thanks to those who have taken on a Committee position and also thanks to those who served over the past year. All the new Committee names and contact details are listed on our web site www.mbgfc.com.au
Congratulations to all the members who competed for and won trophies throughout the year. These were presented to the winners at our end of year Christmas party which was held once again at the Prefontaine residence, thanks to hosts Annabel and Ron.
