Redlands youngster Marnus Labuschagne raising his bat after scoring a century.


Marnus Labuschagne showed that he has not lost his touch after a successful season in the UK by scoring a century in game one for First Grade. Since then he has been selected in the Qld Bulls team, alongside Greg Moller and Ryan LeLoux. Fellow 1st Grade player and Peter Burge medallist Simon Milenko also made his debut with the Qld Bulls against the NSW Blues in a one day game.
1st Grade wicketkeeper James Peirson played in the Cricket Australia X1 match against South Africa in Canberra. James and Simon were both selected in the Brisbane Heat team for the KFC Big Bash series.
Three new players to Redlands this season helped their teams to victory in a recent round of the Brisbane Premier Grade Cricket competition. In first Grade Jon Stimpson took four vital wickets in Ipswich/Logan’s second innings as the Redlands Tigers recorded an outright victory. In second Grade Liam Hope-Shackley saved the day for the Tigers. Redlands were chasing 235 runs to win the game against Ipswich/Logan and at one stage were 9 wickets down for 170. Liam and Zach Addison put on a last wicket stand of 68 runs to record a thrilling victory.
Our UK player Adam Ball made his debut with Redlands this season and took 6 wickets in his first game.
1st Grade players Greg Moller 233 not out and Sam Heazlett 110, put on a 257 run partnership in one of the two day games played before Christmas.
