REDLANDS TIGERS CRICKET CLUB
Last weekend saw the last round of the Queensland Cricket Premier Competition and two Redlands teams – 5th Grade no 1 and 6th Grade no 1 have advanced to the Grand Final. Both teams finished first and will play their final at home over the next two weekends.
Redlands Women’s 2nd Grade team advanced to the final of the Jodie Fields competition last Sunday but unfortunately the opposition – Ipswich/Logan were too strong on the day. Congratulations to all members of the team on a great season.
Redlands finished in 6th position on the overall Club Championship ladder.

Congratulations to Marnus Labuschagne who scored a century in the recent Sheffield Shield match against NSW. He was able to help Queensland advance to the Shield Final to be played at the Alan Border Field in Brisbane commencing Friday 23rd March against Tasmania.
We are still waiting on news regarding our Grant Application in relation to the upgrading of Women’s facilities at the Club. Lauren has been keeping us informed on the progress.
During the off season we have a few maintenance issues to attend to with the usual wicket and field maintenance on all three fields, the re-building of the sightscreens and replacing the old wooden fence on our main oval and completing the fence on our no 3 field. We also need to look at painting the Clubhouse roof and the grandstand.
Some dates to remember are:

  • Redlands Cricket will be hosting the Under 16 Rookie Challenge from 4-6 April 2018
  • the RCI Annual Cricket Awards Dinner on Saturday 14 April 2018
  • Redlands Sporting Club Pipe Band are holding the Annual Pipe Band Competition on Peter Burge Oval on Saturday 28 April 2018.
