Our Junior team bagged top awards in the recently concluded 2016 Junior National Championships in Melbourne under the supervision of coach Anthony Parlato.  The winners are:  Lio Lemana Pakau and Marco Bunin – 1st place in doubles;  Lio and Marco – 1st and 2nd place in Rapid Throw respectively;  Carlo Bunin, Marco and Lio who won 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in Precision Throw;  Lio and Marco won 2nd place in the Rapid Relay Doubles;  Lio won 2nd place in the Single game and in the Bowl Throw.  Carlo Bunin won the Encouragement Award.
We are proud to announce that this year’s State title winners for the women’s team are Barbara Jones, Luz Van Hemmen and Elena Bunin, and for the men’s team winner’s are Neil Parlato & Anthony Parlato from Redland Bocce Club and Carlo Franchina from Newmarket Club. They will represent the Queensland Team in the 2016 National Australian Bocce Championship to be held in Sydney from 10-13 June.
Winners of this year’s State titles have started vigorous trainings and are mentally prepared to bag top awards in the 2016 National Australian Bocce Championships.
Also, congratulation to Giancarlo Canetto and Fred De Campo for winning the Carlo Bonato competition 17 April 2016.
